Bearings History
This concept led to the idea of wheel. Later on this was modified by introducing rolling elements between wheel and the shaft.
This gradually led man to invent bearings.
Today, there are bearings available for applications like cryogenic engines, acidic environment, high temperatures and high speeds. There are lot of inventions later on to improve the performance of the bearings, by using special materials, lubricants and accessories.
