Bearing Storage
Important points to be considered while storing of bearings
Store bearings in their original package in order to protect contamination and corrosion. However due to high humidity in Indian climatic conditions, it is not recommended to keep the bearings dry packed in any form of paper which is still used by some foreign manufacturers today. We recommend that bearings is such packing should be removed and repacked in polythene bag with wet lubrication method. Large bearing should be kept flat and supported over their whole circumference to avoid disorientation. Bearings should be stored in dry rooms, having a temperature range of +6 to + 25 degree Celsius and low humidity level.
- Bearings must be stored
- Without dust and dirt
- No direct sunlight and high temperature
- Temperature between +20°C and +25°C (68-72F)
- Humidity max. 60%
- Area without vibration
- Take care with the cleaning
- Don't leave bearings stored for too long. First in First Out!
- No aggressive products such acids, ammonia, gases, alkaline solutions, salt, etc. should be stored in the same room
- Large bearings, especially should not be stored uprigh.
- Leave them flat and supported over the entire circumference
- Leave bearings always in their original package!
